We have local unions in each province across Western Canada which represent ironworkers who work in the field. Those workers typically work as structural ironworkers, reinforcing ironworkers, welders, or metal building erectors.
Members are able to work with a network of union contractors according to standardized collective agreements.
British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan all have a shop local dedicated to representing members working in manufacturing.
From structural metal fabrication to aerospace manufacturing, the Ironworkers shop locals deliver solid collective agreements that workers can count on, and strong representation to ensure those agreements are followed.
As a member of the Ironworkers Union, you can work at home through your local, or travel to other areas and work through other locals.
No matter where you work in the Ironworkers Union, you can count on top wages, extended healthcare, and retirement benefits - as well as representatives who work to support you!
Come join over 7000 men and women working with the Ironworkers District Council of Western Canada!
